Are You Enjoying & Exciting about Life?

Swimming in Circles by Dick Sutphen

I recently read about a woman who needed to clean out her fish bowl, but could not find a container in which to place her two goldfish. So she filled up her bathtub with a couple inches of water and placed the fish in the tub. After cleaning the bowl and returning for the goldfish, she found them swimming in a corner of the tub in a circle no bigger than the fish bowl.

Compare yourself to the fish in the tub. Do your fears and habits and the patterns of your life keep you swimming in a small circle?Or do you live dangerously, exploring the potentials of your existence? Margaret Stortz says, "It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

"When making a new decision about your life, Osho advises, "... don't choose the convenient, the comfortable, the respectable, the socially acceptable, the honorable. Choose something that rings a bell in your heart. Choose something that you would like to do in spite of any consequences. "Dangerous ideas? For sure. You could screw up big time. Or you could find yourself walking down a new path of aliveness. If you're swimming in small circles and life isn't as fulfilling as you want it to be, consider your level of aliveness. Aliveness is excitement, enjoyment in doing what you do. It's that blood-pumping exhilaration, challenge, joy, stimulation, and pleasure that makes life worth living.

If you've traded freedom and aliveness for security, consider adding some joyous new challenges to your life.

Life Priorities

All of us have equal 24 hours, don't we? Not a second more or less. Many a time, when we are spending time, are we conscious of how we are are spending our time? May the below illustration make sense......

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee. ....

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes." The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand.

The students laughed. "Now," said the professor as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things --God, your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favourite passions--and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car. The sand is everything else--the small stuff." "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you. "Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to ge t medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first--the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand." One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

Pressing On

As I look back why "Motivation Junction"? The purpose is to share, inspire, and to move people and myself into taking actions toward better ourselves. Many a times our journey can be rough and tempting to give up our dreams and goals. May this blog, as I got motivated by quotes or words be written down as reminders to set our minds to PRESS ON.

While away from blogging, I have with me books to keep me going and in positive state of mind. One particular book that I kept close to me was "Releasing Your Potential" by Dr. Myles Munroe. To me, it was like God sent to me as the words seemed speaking to me and the words come to me at the time when I needed. It has enabled me to break free and leap over the limitations of past opinions.

Be a continual reader. Be it books, articles, magazines, etc. feed our mind continually with "Vitamins for the Mind" and not forgeting to give thanks to your Creator.....All the Time.

Vitamins for the Mind

Whatever happens in your Life, there are two sides, it all depends on which side you are looking from. There is a Bright side & there is a Dark side.

We must always look at things/ situation from the Bright side, & we must also be aware of the Dark side, so that we would not become the Victim / Failure / Losser.

Let's now look at the following Articles....and enjoy the Good outcome from our Bright side!

The Bright Side

Where there is nothing, there is room for everything. When all is lost, there is no limit to what can be gained.

When little is known, there is much that can be learned. When nothing has been done, there is much that can be accomplished.

Emptiness is an opportunity to be filled. Limitation is an opportunity to grow stronger and more capable.

Where there is overwhelming despair, there is also enormous space for love to abound. Where there is darkness, there is also the potential to be filled with light.

When you are down as low as you can go, you have the opportunity to be the best that you can be. When you're surrounded by emptiness, there is unlimited space available for real fulfillment.

When the world seems dark, cold, and empty, there is plenty for which to be thankful. For you can fill it with warmth, with light, with meaning, and with life.

Start Planning Your Life!

Here's something interesting to share with you :

"If you don't design your own life plan, chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they may have planned for you? Not much." Jim Rohn

The Biggest Fear in Life:

The biggest barrier that most people have to overcome is fear. Fear of rejection. Fear of making decisions. Fear of change. Fear of confrontation. Fear of loss. Fear of failure. And of course the big one - fear of success! It is this fear (and all of its cousins like worry, anxiety, and self-doubt) that paralyzes you, and keeps you from succeeding.

Here are the solutions:

- Identify and eliminate self-limiting beliefs
- Overcome hidden fears
- Stop procrastination and self-sabotage
- Reject rejection
- Break through negative programming
- Raise your self-esteem and confidence level
- Create momentum to stay motivated

Something to ponder and make your decision....

Change is Good for YOU

Here an Interesting Article for Sharing.....Featured Article: Change is Good by T. Harv Eker

Sometimes we love change and sometimes we hate it. Regardless, it always takes a little bit of courage to leave something familiar and try something new. Why is change difficult for most of us? Because change necessitates that we move out ofour comfort zones. Since the ego, or protective mind's job is survival, it will always prefer safety and security over the untested and unproven. It likes to keep things the same. It has us believe "the devil I know, is better than the devil I don't know." In short, "if I stay with what I know and what is familiar,I won't get hurt."

This belief system is simply not true and goes directly against the laws of nature. Most people are not totally happy and successful, yet they continue to do the same things over and over hoping someday things will be different. Realize if what you've been looking for was where you've been looking, chances are you'd have already found it! Doing more of the same even harder and longer is not usually the answer. Being willing to changewill usually create better results.Since your inner world creates your outer world, one of the first steps in change, is changing your thoughts. By examining the way you talk to yourself and your beliefs around success, money and prosperity, you are in a position to consciously change any thoughts that are based in lack, fear and limitation. Because what you focus on expands, by intentionally thinking of prosperity, abundance and success you will attract those very things. Change is natural.

The universe is in constant motion, from the changing of the seasons; to the way plants, trees and flowers grow; from the rushing of the rivers, to the wind that blows. Life is always moving, always changing. In fact, the only constant in the world, the only thing you can absolutely count on, is change itself. Therefore, utilize every change as a gift. Whenever change occurs, ask yourself "how can I use this change to my benefit?" If you lose your job, know that a new and better opportunity awaits you. If you lose a relationship, know that a new and better relationship awaits you.The happiest and most successful people all share a critical characteristic - the trait of adaptability. Which means they have the ability to quickly adapt to new situations and circumstances. The idea then is to go with the flow and not only accept change, but embrace it as an opportunity to expand yourself and your life.EXERCISE: Today, make a list of all the areas in your life where changes needs to take place. Make sure your list not only covers the situations in your life, but also your environment and how you personally need to change. Start implementing those changes now!Declaration: I am adaptable. I accept change easily and use it to my advantage.

For your freedom,T. Harv EkerAlways ask yourself the following questions everyday:

1. Have I stretch Myself today?
2. Have I Made any Progress towards my Goals today?
3. What will be my Plan for Tomorrow?

Change is Good for YOU.
Be the Best you can Be.
